Dimsum and Milk Tea on a Sunday

July 29, 2012

After church service, we had lunch in Shi Lin. It is located somewhere in Bonifacio Global City.
Here are the pictures I took of the food.

 Shi Lin Chinese Restaurant

Tofu Something. This is good because of the sauce :)

Xiao Long Bao! Been looking for this here in Manila and I have finally tasted one. In my opinion, the soup and meat inside was kind of salty. I still love the one in Din Tai Fung (nothing can beat that restaurant). It's still Xiao Long Bao and I've satisfied my craving. :)

Salt and Pepper Squid. This is good. The spices do not really overpower the taste of the squid. It was kinda spicy but still good.

Shaomai. The only siomai in the menu. The filling was like the one in the Xiao Long Bao. Kinda salty but it was okay. Two pieces was enough for me. :)

All time favorite. SERENITEA! Somewhere in Burgos Circle.

I had my usual Wintermelon milk tea with pearls :) I just love this to bits.

Pangasinan Adventure (food trip)

Food will always be present during trips. Well, it was part of why we went to Pangasinan. I hope you guys can also try these delicious food from Pangasinan. Enjoy!

Pork Sisig in MUGS, Bolinao, Pangasinan. The sisig actually tasted good with mayonaise and calamansi. Something not everybody makes.

Boneless Bangus from Dagupena, Calasiao, Pangasinan. They are famous for this. Watch out for the yearly Bangus festival. I would want to witness that :)

This is a good restaurant where you can get your Boneless Bangus and Binagoongang Pata (Crispy Pata with Bagoong). Surprisingly, the pata tasted to good. The skin was still crispy with the taste of the bagoong sauce. It's just delicious.

Cuchinta (Calasiao, Pangasinan). They are also famous for this, alongside the puto (picture below). There is something with the size. It's usually smaller than the others I know. More like bite size types. I enjoy things in bite sizes and these delicacies just blew me away.

Puto from Calasiao, Pangsinan. Simply delicious.

Lechon Kawali will never get lost in the picture.

Their serving for rice is so cute. It's the "kaldero" type but that's good for two people only. I find it so cute :)

I forgot what this was. haha! I think it was pata also steamed in banana leaf.

 Seafood Kare-Kare

This was interesting. Two kinds of sisig (pork and fish) served in a bangka-like platter. haha! Nice presentation guys!

Hundred Islands! I have finally been able to see this in person. Such a nice place. Lots of adventure :D

Part of Governor's Island. The beach is nice :)

Travel buddies (Anthropology classmates). It was fun going to Pangasinan with them. Thanks guys!

I wanted to take a picture of something and came up with this random subject (the shirt). I find it artsy in a way. What do you guys think? :)
